Weddington Swim & Racquet Club was founded in 1980 as a member owned non-profit facility. The club provides fun recreational swimming and tennis activities for families in both Union and Mecklenburg Counties. Weddington is known for our laid-back family friendly atmosphere, competitive teams, hospitality, and fun-loving members.

Mike Murphy
Club Director
​
Mike has been the face of Weddington Swim and Racquet Club for over 30 years. A native of Staton Island, Mike moved south and graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School. He played collegiate tennis for Belmont Abbey and graduated with his bachelor's degree from UNCC. Mike's passion for tennis is rivaled by his love for golf!

Jonathan Parks
Director of Tennis

WSRC has been home to Jonathan Parks for over 30 years. He started as a junior player, transitioned to assistant pro and is now the Director of Tennis.

Kevin Galloway

WSRC welcomed Kevin in 2023. Kevin is from Charlotte and played tennis for Clemson University.

Janet Garvey
Office Manager/Rentals

Janet joined our staff 7 years ago after several years of serving on the Board of Directors. Both Janet and her husband Pat continue to be active players here at WSRC.
